January

The Tairua School Wine & Food Festival is a major event for our local community and an important fundraiser for our school. Running for 24 years, the Festival is a favourite staple of the Coromandel Summer bringing together terrific music, sumptuous food, wines & beers, kids entertainment and great New Zealand produce.

Taking place on Saturday 6 January 2018,  this year will surely offer another fantastic day. For more information click here.

February

Leadfoot Festival is a unique weekend scheduled for 3-4 February 2018, bringing together a mix of classic cars, vintage motorcycles and motorsport legends. Held at Rod Millen’s private grounds at Leadfoot Ranch. The 150 acre, ocean-front estate in Hahei just 20 minutes from Paku Palms features a long driveway that winds through the property designed to be the perfect hill climb. Guests are given one of a kind experiences featuring unparalleled access to the competitors, pits and race vehicles. Visitors dress in period style clothing to step back in time making the Leadfoot Festival an incredible family experience and a true celebration of motorsports and all things automotive.

March

The Beach Hop is New Zealand’s number 1 Nostalgia Festival that celebrates the best of the 50’s & 60’s. Taking place from 21-25 March 2018. Held in the beautiful seaside resort of Whangamata 30 minutes from Paku Palms. For more information about the event click here.

June

Mercury Music Festival is a celebration of jazz, blues, folk, world and acoustic music over Queens Birthday Weekend in Mercury Bay. All performances over the weekend will take place in centrally located venues within walking distance of each other. Enjoy the cafes, restaurants and activities that Whitianga has to offer with some world class entertainment to cap off a spectacular weekend. For more information about the event click here.

The Whitianga Scallop Festival is one on New Zealand’s iconic seafood events, and is returning Saturday 2 September 2017, on The Esplanade in the picturesque village of Whitianga.
